CITY WIDE PARADE HONORING OUR COMMUNITY IS IN THE PLANNING

The Chief of Police Mr. Acevedo, Ex-Mayor Gus Garcia, Dr. Sanchez of S.W.Key, Councilman Martinez, LULAC District 12, Director, Adriana Argaiz, Agregada de Asuntos Comunitarios de consulado General de Mexico en Austin, and others have gathered to form a committee to put together a huge Parade and Celebration of our people. They will be asking many Latino organizations to help name the event. Two of the names brought forward are Dia De La Raza, International community. The tentative date is set for Next Year Oct. 11, 2009. In the mean time we are going to do outreach to all who may want to be part of the event.
