Council 4860 president Fidel Acevedo joined Tax Assessor Nelda Spears to register Voters at the Prime Time Music Fest which was presented by the Tejano Artist Music Museum at Fiesta Gardens this past week. Other Voter registrations are planned.

Community leaders protest the building of a 3 story building on 5901 East Manor Road. The building is to house homeless and the chronically ill. The neighborhood in question currently has a heavy problem with crime, drugs, and transits. The neighebor hood is against it. This is in accordance to the application they have submitted.

Deputy District 12 Director Gavino Fernandez is being interviewed over a proposed five story building in the center of el barrio in East Austin. The proposed building will house apartments on the top floors and the bottom floor there will be business. The community are very upset and asked LULAC and the concilio to intervene.
